I’ve known Kasimir since high school in Lelystad. Last sunday we took a nostalgic/therapeutic/cathartic* road trip there. They wouldn’t let us in. I took some pictures.

Kasimir was the first guy I knew who owned a drum computer. Almost 20 years later he’s got an SP1200, an MPC60, an MPC2000 and a huge record collection. I asked him if I could feature some of his beats on mrvilt.com, he said cool and send me a whole bunch of beats. And there are some mighty fine ones here… I just can’t stop listening to ‘went into time’ and ‘we just’.

Not a big fan of Jay-Z latest, but I think the album cover artwork by Dan Tobin Smith is awesome. He did an ‘E’ with set designer Nicola Yeoman in may 2008. Jay liked it. It became the blueprint for the blueprint.
